Create new parameter

I need to create a new parameter within the Family Editor, in particular a parameter that identifies the height of the keystone of a barrel vault, when I go to create the parameters, in the "Group parameter in... " I don't have the "Size" option which would be what I need. Can you tell me why?

The Group is not critical for a parameter, and you cannot create groups. Just use the ones available, such as "Construction" or "Geometry". It's just for organization. Usually anything related to the size of the element goes under "Dimensions".

FWIW: We typically try to keep "Length" Parameters that are accessible to the end-user under "Dimensions" .  By "accessible", I mean those "Length" Parameters that are not driven by a Formulas or are Reporting Parameters.  Our Formula-driven or Reporting Parameters are typically Grouped under "Constraints" or "Construction".  That's how we do it. Other firms do it differently. The bottom line is that there is no universal standard.  You decide for yourself which the best of the 22 available in-built Groups to put a parameter under.  And before you ask: No; you cannot add Groups.  :zwinkerndes_Gesicht:
