Create New Baluster Post

I want to create a new baluster post 4” diameter. I thought you could go into the family properties list (see below), duplicate one of the existing balusters, and change its diameter. After I duplicate it however, there isn’t a way to edit it. I thought I’ve done it this way in the past, but seem to have forgotten. Suggestions please?

Right click the family and click 'new type'.

Right click the duplicated baluster type and change type properties.

Another way is to edit the family and add you new types in the family editor.
