Hello, is there a way to create a pattern file without the use of extensions? I have the exact pattern drawn in autocad, but I can also draw it in Revit. The problem is, I don't know how to convert or export it into a pattern file. I have been looking on the internet, but I mostly see difficult tutorials using Notepad, while all I want is to save some lines in Autocad/Revit as a pattern file
Hi,
That you describe is the only way. You have to write it in notepad or use a plugin like pyrevit.

Why not using an extension? PyRevit is great at creating custom patterns. Or go to pattycake online to create the pattern pat file then import it in Revit.
Thanks for the replies. Pattycake as mentioned is unfortunately paid, so it sounds like pyrevit is the only way. Is this plugin save to use and approved by Autodesk?
