Hello,
I'm trying to create a legend only used for lines. I've been searching the web for the last two hours, but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
I've seen Line Style Legends and such mentioned, but the information is scarce.
So basically what I'm trying to achieve is a simple legend with lines of different colors and descriptive text. I want to attach it to a view, and not a sheet. Is there any way to achieve this?
Thanks in advance,
Lovisa
Legends in Revit can't be added to a view, they can only be added to sheets. So if you are making a "Legend" element in Revit it is not going to do what you want to do.
From what you are describing, it sounds like you might want to create a generic annotation family. That could be placed onto a view. So basically you will "draw" what you want to appear in the legend (the colored lines). Then load that family and place the generic annotation in the view where you want it.
If you want to place it on views and not sheets then a detail group will do it. That way any changes to the group will reflect on all other instances of it.
Ah, I see!
We have a color fill scheme in the same view, and my task is to make a similar one but with the lines instead. Would you say a generic annotation family would be way to go in this case? ![]()
Thanks for the fast reply!
I'm going to give it a chance, thanks!
I forgot to add it to the original text, but what I'm trying to achieve is something similar to a color fill scheme.
