Crating a detail component using adaptive components?

Hello all, I have been thinking of creating a 2D detail component for wall bases - something that can be easily placed using more than 2 mouse clicks and hence more efficient than a line based detail component. Could an adaptive component be an option? If so, how? Suggestions / sample families / screencasts are welcome! Thanks all!

You can place an adaptive family in a detail view but it is still a model element, not a detail component, meaning it will show in your model. I would advise against doing it.

Point taken, @ToanDN. It's just that drawing the model lines for wall bases in interior elevations can be very wearying. I wish that Line Based Detail families were not limited to only two mouse clicks. Any ideas, O Wise One?

Can you give an example of what you are drawing?

Just curious why would you "draw lines for wall bases in interior elevations" ? Is it not better to add the profile of the baseboard to the wall type instead? Or create the baseboard as a wall sweep?

(By the way, inthis new interface of the forum, why is the "Post" button so far from the message?. There should be another "Post" button for quick replies that don't require attachments)

@Alfredo_Medina....an attempt to bring about as simple a model as possible, while still having completely populated interior elevations.

Completely populated with what?

@ToanDN - showing as much of detail as possible, without adding more 3D complexity to the model.
