So here's a fun one for you.
I have a counter-top family that does not want to section properly. When we section it (either in a project or in the family file itself), it shows up as a big solid block verses the L space we'd expect to see with the counter and the raising backsplash.
There's no hidden voids or anything. I've uploaded the family on this post so others can poke around in it. But I'm just not sure why it's not sectioning properly.

Good video! Unfortunately, we're using 2022 with this project, which doesn't have that option the video explains.
Change the family category from furniture category to generic model category in order to be cuttable by section in 2022

The Family isn't Cuttable, as mentioned. "Cuttable" means that the Family will use the Cut Line Weights at the Cutting Plane.

Your Furniture Family recategorized as Casework Family:
That was it! As soon as I changed the countertop to Casework instead of Furniture, it allowed it to be cuttable. Such an easy solution; I'm banging my head for how much time I wasted on it.
