Hi there,

While being in Revit Architecture, is it possible to take quantities from a linked Structural Model? Or else, do we need to take qunatities from Architectural, Structural and MEP models seperatelyt?

I highly appreacite your response.

Thank you

Hi it is fairly simple to schedule quantities from a link file. Link your files into the host project file.

You then choose schedules and quantities from the view tab. Select the Category to schedule> select the available fields and tick the box to include elements in the link file. (See attached image) You can also include the RVT link name and RVT link file name from > Select available fields from.

The schedule will be created and formatted as normal. The only real limitation is not being able to schedule room aware families from within a link. If you need to have room ID with room aware objects then do it form the original file not the link.

Hope this helps ! Please accept this as solution. Or message back if you need further assistance. Smiley Wink

Thinking further, is there a way to select this linked elements from the schedule to identify them?
This option is disabled when the elements are linked. It would be usefull.
