Could I please ask a question regarding an .rfa file I have drawn?

I have drawn this baluster in Revit 2024, using a Metric Template Family. Once completed, I wanted to upload it into my project. When I did, I could not see it or locate it.

I have tried everything, but I cannot find the file in the project. The issue is that I have drawn another model, but I am aware that the same thing might happen.

Why can I not see this baluster in my project after I load it?

Thank You for your help

Hi,

A Baluster Post is a component of the Revit Native Railing editor. You can add your family to a Railing type:

Alternative is to create the Baluster Post as a Generic Model Family.

Hi, thanks for your reply. The post is already in the baluster section of the railings family.
However, I think I might redraw it as a generic model and see if that makes a difference. I just wondered if there was some parameters that I had got wrong or something else really basic.

Can you share a print screen of your railing settings? Because it worked for me.

Generic Model family doesn't work for the railing editor (only if you want to model it separated from the Railing).

I mean a print screen inside your project. With the Railing settings like my printscreen.

Your printscreen is inside the family editor:).

So this the project now opened. I am trying to load this baluster post into the project but, if I choose the post from the railings family, it doesn't load, even though it says it has and the post is already in the project. In that case, I cannot see it or find it.
