core issues....

Can somebody help me out here... I inadvertently made a change to some sort of setting and I dont know what, or when.. this is a screenshot of a section view of a project im working on.. You can see the stone at the fireplace.. You can also see the core of all of the walls and roofs that are cut shows up as stone also.  I can also see this when I am modeling, and I step back to look at a 3d view of the building process, and the core shows as stone... even on walls that are not cut.  I can open the structure of the walls or roofs, and there is no stone anywhere in the materials... or in the cut patterns, or anywhere... I just want my default core back.core.JPG

@georgehobel  try Manage>>Object Styles.

Scroll to each of the categories, make sure that they have been assigned the right materials (extreme right of the dialog box)

Type in VG - repeat.

Make sure these objects are on the correct phase

All else failing, right click on each, under Override Graphics in View remove any Surface Pattern overrides that may have crept in.

You duplicated an existing material to create the stone material without duplicating or choosing a new appearance asset. To fix it:
- Edit the stone material, switch to Appearance tab and duplicate the asset
- Edit the core material, switch to Appearance tab and remove the stone texture from the definition

not exactly sure how it all happened... I do remember creating a couple of duplicate materials a month ago, but I had assigned a material to anything I created.. I did find several duplicate "default wall, default roof, default floor" items that I must have created... After going in and deleting them, everything is back to normal...  I never intended to create those duplicate materials... but it seems to be fixed now...

thank you both...
