copying walls and paste to current view

one of my school projects call to copy walls from the first floor and copy to 2nd floor using cut and paste and then aligning to current view .if you align and lock to other walls and copy those walls to the same outside walls. does it carry the aligning and locking with it. i think it doesnt but if u can tag along the aligning locks what choice to you use when you want to move to a different floor

If you copy paste the wall and the elements it constrained to then the
constraint is retain. If you copy paste the wall only then no.

I'm assuming your talking about interior and exterior walls? like @ToanDN stated, it doesn't matter that the outside wall is the same wall.  if you copy just the interior walls they lose the lock they had to the outside wall. The walls that are copied get new element ID's, they are "new" walls now.  is there a reason you can't relock them after there moved?
