Copying parameters from one family to the other

I am in the process of tweaking a manufacturers' family for a projection screen. I would like it to be ceiling based and nest it into a ceiling based template, which would mean re-creating the parameters so that they can be associated from the nested family to the host family. Is there an easier way to do that than typing everything in all over again?

Timing of your post couldn't be better... I saw this on Revit Addons last week.. I haven't tried it yet, but sounds like it may help...

Once again, my objective is to nest this into a ceiling based family and associate the parameters up. One less thing for the team member to do. And I would dearly like to avoid the tedium of re-typing in the parameters in the host family!

Here is my rework of the manufacturers' family. I have purged types and parameters that I felt were not needed. Feel free to point out any that I may still need to remove  -
