Copying Floor Plan (or Reflected Ceiling Plan) Types from one project to another

Is it possible to copy Floor Plan Types from one project to another? I found all kinds of posts about how to make new plan types, copy floor types from one project to another, etc. But I haven't found anything regarding copying Plan Types to another project. I know these can be created and stored in a template - which has been done - but we have a project that was started without these plan types so I'd like to be able to pull them over without having to recreate them.

No, but you could Clipboard Copy and Paste Levels and then create Plan Views from them (View Tab=>Plan Views=>Floor Plan).

What am I copying? The level?

Yes. You can copy Levels between Projects.

I'm not sure that solves the problem. I don't see how copying the level brings over the plan type. 

I need to recreate the attached in a new project, I don't want to have to do it one at a time. Is there a way to transfer these from one project to another? From your original post, it seems there isn't.

...sounds to me like you have an RVT. Why not rename it and blow out what you don't need?

I don't see the option for them. Unless they are called something different. They seem to be Types of the System Family: Floor Plan. I don't see them in the families tree in the project browser either. Oh well guess I'm S.O.L. Thanks for your help.

Not sure I understand what you're asking. "Why recreate it?" Why recreate what? I don't want to recreate anything, I want to copy over what I have already created.  Each plan type already has the appropriate view template applied so when I create the plan it's ready to go.

No, the view templates are in the project. It is the Plan Types I want. Yes, overall it just comes down to not wanting to create a plan, add a view template, create a plan, add a view template, etc. When I can create a plan using an already created plan type that has the view template already applied.

Create a bunch of call-outs and give each a view type. Then copy paste them to other project to bring the view types over. Delete when done.

I don't believe I did. Sorry, it's been a long time, I can't even remember what project it was. Usually if I find a solution I will put it in the post, since there isn't one, it leads me to believe I didn't figure it out.

You only need to create one callout of the plan type you want, copy this into the new project. The plan type and view template will be transferred.
