Hello!
My columns are the same in plan, but the levels are different.
I packed the columns into a group and copied the group by level. As a result, the column is not tied to the level.
Is it possible to fix this?
This is not possible unfortunately and you would need to edit the column after pasting.
I typically just select the Columns > Copy to Clipboard > Align to Selected Levels, when pasted they are still active so i can remove the offset which is carried in from the previous level which is the difference between the levels.
After I edit the group at level 2, the group at level 1 changes too. As a result, groups cannot be used at different level heights?
This is how groups works you would need to create a New Group as the Parameter's will be different between groups.
Groups tend to contain repetitive identical elements that don't change.
You could use Selection Sets as an alternative and which is what i would use as i don't have the constraints of a Group
For example, I have a column on levels 1, 2, 3. The levels have different heights, so I can't use Group.
When editing the coordinates of the XY of a column on the level 1, it is necessary for the columns on the 2nd and 3rd levels to also change the coordinates of the XY. The only solution is to lock the columns of level 3 to level 1 and column level 2 lock to column at level 1. Or is there some other solution?
Unless the levels are identical in height then you will need to edit the group.
if you want to use groups you need to create a group for wach scenario where you have levels changes.
Level 1 columns, Level 2 Columns, etc.
Revit will not automatically extend and shorten elements defines to references/levels when copied to other levels
