Hi,

I have a model with a group of floors and walls, that appears in a few levels. I want to add detailed group of texts and dimensions, so it will show in all the groups. I tried to creat attached detailed group, but it won't appear in all the groups (only where I created it), and I can't copy it between the groups.

What am I missing?

The attached detail group does not get associated with all the placed and new instances of the model group...this behavior allows for the following:

  • A model group can have more than 1 Detail Group attached to it.
  • Same detail group can be attached to more than one model group

If all your Model Group 1 instances have the same Detail group, from the browser >> Right Click the Model group and select all instance >> On the Ribbon/Modify tab - Click Attached detail group >> Check the box for the detail group you want to attach

Thank you for the quick reply! I tried as you suggested, but received the following message:

Can't make change to Group "2" with more than one instance. To resolve: Ungroup and Group again under a new name. Edit and make change, then change all instances of the original Group to the new Group.

What am I doing wrong?
