Copying Areas to Multiple Levels and having the Reference Number Change per Flr

New to area plans - and we are using area plans to manage the areas of units in a multi-level housing project.

I have created the areas for the first level, which includes the Unit Name and Number.  Then I copy the Area Boundary, Areas and the Area Tags to the 4 levels above ...

I had hoped that the numbers assigned to each area would have:

1) the first digit to change to correspond to the level number ..

2) or at least remain the same number as it was defined on the first level ...

Instead it appears that the numbering followed numerically from the last number that was defined.

Now I am expecting to much for the these tags ... or do I need to look into a tag that would be two parts ... Level + Position ...

So you create an Area Plan for each Level and copy/paste one Level's Area Boundary and info to all the other levels?

...What about adding "Level" and/or "Number" to the Tag?  Also, maybe it would be easier to work within a Schedule to edit all the Names.

- Create two shared parameters: Area_Level and Area_Number and add them to a label in the Area tag + to the project > Areas category

- Change Are_Number for the areas on the 1st level in the sequence you like, for example 01, 02, etc...

- Select all areas in level 1 and change Area_Level to 1

- Tag all the the tag should read 101, 102, etc..

- Copy paste the Areas + Tags to other levels, go to each level, select the areas and change the Area_Level, the Area_Number values should remain intact, the result: 201, 202,... 301, 302, ...
