I have a small project that would benefit from merging our (former) consultant's project file into our own file. Right now, working in the separate projects is not the end of the world, but it is likely that this is something that will come up again in the future.
Note: this project is entirely drafting views... weird, I know, but it's just masonry and window repairs.
You can save Drafting Views out of Revit and reimport them into new Revit projects as this was an intended workflow
Select a drafting view in the Project Browser. Right-click the view name, and click Save to New File. Enter a new name for the project. This creates a new Revit project file that contains the selected view and the contents of that view.
This can also be done for all views at once from a Project - File Tab > Save As > Library > View
You can also Import directly into a New Project from and Existing file - Insert Tab > Load From Library Panel > Insert From File > Select File > Pick View to Insert

You could also just pyRevit your problem away which will allow you to just copy sheets, views and legends into other files currently open.
