Copy Objects Between Design Options

Re important something from one design option to appear in another. Importing a facade.  I want to import a facade from Alt-1 to Alt-4.  the facade option exists in Atl-1.

this video is probably the easiest way to understand my question that has me baffled. ...  https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/1vJPWB8Uk_vd_pTo233G14kYLexBau5f5/view?usp=driv

  1. I have deleted the entire facade from alt-4.
  2. I make alt-1 the "primary option".
  3. i display the "main model".
  4. I deleselect "exclude options"
  5. no matter what I pick of an element from alt-1 (and the info pop-out tells me its in alt-1) from the facade that exists in alt-1 and NOT in alt-4 and select just to put it in alt-4 (where it does NOT exist
    1. https://drive.google.com/a/designbuildllc.com/file/d/10GtUAz9I_mt3b-WpL-V4MA9en3Dvg4oe/view?usp=driv...   ....
  6. the error message tells me I can't put it there.

  7. why not?

- Select the elements you want to copy, CTRL+C
- Change active design option to the target one, paste aligned

But if the elements are supposed to be in every Design Option then they should just be under Main Model.
