Hi all,
I need some input here... feeling a little lost! I am working on a project that has 7 buildings and one site. I located all buildings in the site model and set up the shared coordinates. The site model hosts all the CAD civil and landscape files and the topo. I am using a separate annotation model where I am linking all my Revit models and copy/monitoring the grids and levels. The site is sloping so all buildings are at different elevations.
I started by linking my first building (A) by shared coordinates into the annotation model and copy monitored the grids and levels. Level 1 is 0' -0". All good. When I linked building B, and copy monitored grids and levels, Bldg. B's level 1 is no longer 0'-0" as it is if I open Bldg. B model, but it is 5'-11 3/32". I am guessing this is because the Annotation model is picking Building A's level 1 (0'-0") as reference and since building B is 5'-11 3/32" higher, it shows that Building B's level 1 is at 5'-11 3/32".
Is there a way to make Revit reference each level 1 to its own 0'-0" ( like when I open any of my building models) instead of Building A's level 1?
Any help will be very appreciated!
Thank you so much!

Hi Barthbradley,
Thanks for your response! The levels are currently set to Project base point. Since I linked Building A first, might it have referenced level 1 of building A as project base point? If I select Survey point then they are 70' above the ground (shared coordinates) instead of 5'. Any ideas of how to reset this?
Actually, without seeing the file it's hard to know what's going on. Can you just re-link and re-publish coordinates?

That is a screenshot of the Revit model. As you can see the project base point is on level 1 of building A. The site survey point is much below.. like 70' below...
Thanks for your input! If I don't find another way I think I'll have to go this route.
Because you're levels are relative to either the project base point or the survey point you will not be able to set each buildings Level 1 at 0'-0". You can remove the parameter from your Level Tag, or replace it with something else you want instead, ie. Datum A.
I personally would prefer to see the levels set relative to the survey point so that the elevations show the finished floor elevations and then just dimension between the levels
You can edit the elevation label, add a shared parameter for the delta, and a calculated parameter as shown below. Add the same shared parameter in project and assign to levels category, then you can enter the delta value for each elevation to change how they display.

Wow. Thank you!

The only way I see is turning off the copy monitored levels and turn on the linked levels in order to display the original elevations values.
Hi ToanDN,
I followed your solution. When I first linked Bldg. A into the Annotation model, the levels appeared as in the image below. I went into Bldg. A model and turned off the text on the left and made it visible along on the right side ( where levels 1-3 appear), saved and synchronized with Central. Afterwards, I opened the Annotation model and reloaded. However, even if I reload, levels 4 - top of parapet keep appearing on the left instead of on the right. Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks!
