Copy Monitor to create views for reference from linked model

I need to reference certain areas from my linked model onto my plans.  But I also need to make sure to turn off the linked model for my final product, so i end up losing the references of the link in my plan view.  I was thinking of creating certain views while the linked model is turned on then selecting those views and applying a COPY/MONITOR to them, so that when i turn off the linked model i can retain the portion of the reference from the linked model and still have it monitored and update.  Has anyone had to ever do this?  Do you think its a good method?

Thank you @Stanis-74, and this would allow me to be able to turn off the linked model but still be able to see the referenced portion of the link in my plan view?

Thanks @Stanis-74, i do need my linked model to be turned off but still have it reference in views i create on my plan.  That is why i think COPY/MONITOR would be an option as it would copy in portions of the linked model onto my plan and still allow me to turn off the linked model and have that referenced portion of the linked model stay visible....and also if any updates occur between client and my firm we would be able to see those updated in the plan....

What exactly do you need from the Links to reference on your plan view?

Hi @ToanDN,

I already have a structural model created with framing elements, so it would be in certain areas we need to have the arch. linked model visible on certain portions of the plan that would show in that area the wall detail, or arch. symbology, or references/callouts notation.

Copy/monitoring does not work for those.

@ToanDN I really wish there was a way for REVIT to allow one to partially or selectively bind a linked model with a copy/monitor setup so that it could stay linked when edits occur between clients....too bad copy/monitor doesn't pick copy out symbols or callouts as it does for levels and grids :enttäuschtes_Gesicht:
