Copy/monitor: categories and types to copy

Is it possible to specify only some original types to copy?

Sure, but it ain't as fast and easy has just changing the monitored instance directly in the Project.

I think this is what I was trying to do.

But when I click "Finish" the elements aren't actually copied. How do I execute the copy?

Not quite, I think. I selected the desired elements and copied them. I know I copied them because when I try to copy again, it says:

Do I have to stop existing monitoring to get the copy to "take effect" I don't actually see the copied elements

Not directly, but you can always assign the types you DON'T want to copy monitor to a specific type in your model, finish copy monitoring, and delete all elements of that specific type.

Hard to guess.   Sounds like they are copied though. Maybe some visibility override is acting on them.
