I'm working on moving our component families from our template to a linked container file.
If I copy a family from the link and paste into my model, it only pastes the current type, not all types available in the family.
Is it possible to make all types available?

That sounds normal. To get all the types, you would need to have all the types placed in the container file, and copy-paste them all. Or... open the family, and then use Load into Project and Close; that will transfer all the types.
My boss wants the Revit Library container file to look like our CAD Library file which is full of dynamic blocks. If I have to place a visible instance of each type of sink, it won't look like our CAD Library. It already isn't identical to our CAD Libary, but in Revit, we just need more families, than blocks in CAD.
I don't think I need to change anything, other than how to interact with the container. It doesn't seem that linking is the way to go.
More tests to run.
