Copy File from an old computer

Hello all,

I have copied a central revit file from the old computer onto a hard drive. Now that I have got a new computer and copied that file to the new computer, I can't save the file.Nor I can save it as a central file. It still recognise the address on my old computer as the central file. When I try to save the file as central it gives me an unrecoverable error and shut down. Any idea how to fix it? I dont have access to my old computer.

hi, it will not worked if copy the existing file into a new computer to become a central file., You can try this into your new computer where your copy already the file. Open the file detach it from central file and make the file as a new central file. And then create new local and saveas into your c: drive.hope it helps. thanks
