Copy and paste door

Hi, all.

I tried to copy and paste this door to other wall.

But this door always move with wall and

says "Can't place inserts outside of hosts. These elements won't be copied."

Only this door cannot be easily copied.

Anyone familiar with this problem?

Select the door and Create Similar from the Ribbon to place the same door in a different wall.

Hi

Any revit family which requires HOST, cannot be placed without the host

( example Doors ( Wall based ) , Window ( Wall based ), Roof Fascia ( roof based ), etc )

there are two easy ways to copy the door.

1. place the door, using create similar, or new door, and change it to required type.

2. if you want to move the existing door to new wall, then Select the door, and " Select a new host "

so that all the parameters of the doors remains the same i.e. mark, type, number etc...
