I have a situation where I need to place text in sheets of incremental type. This feature is well known in AutoCAD but I couldn't find in Revit. I understand things goes differently here but when situation arises and when we are still doing the AutoCAD way, there should be a way where we can automate such tasks and get away with it in less possible time.
So basically I need a text whose numbering should increment on copying with ample customization options on nature of numbering, like prefix suffix etc.,
Like TCOUNT? No. But would be nice. Put it on the IDEA Forum. I'll sponsor it.
No Ganesh, I am not talking about the format or the notes we have over there. In AutoCAD after adding the counting lisp we were able to increment text at every instant like AB-01, AB-02 etc. I am attaching the snipe for better understanding.
Yeah... Unfortunately theres nothing similar in Revit by default..
Scheduling something and updating Mark numbers is one way .. but it still needs manual updating..
Am sure there are people using DYNAMO to get this done.. bit of learning but worth it..
