Coordinates - Reconcile links, what does it actually do?

Hi fellas!

Can someone explain what "Reconcile" actually does?
It seems that I can use this for every link, afterwards I'm able to choose local or shared coordinates.

Not 100% sure if I'm using it the right way (having all files on BIM360 though, so I guess coordinates in the linked file are locked - as it sais?)

Thanks in advance

In that context, it means you will let Revit to modify the model coordinates system to match the acquired shared coordinates from the link.

The strange part is that the project base point stays the same (0,0,0) but I'm able to choose "local coordinates" as the "Shared site" for the link (several links when doing it over and over).

Shared COordinates and Shared site on Construction Cloud hosted model is a long painful process...

See below Link for the acquire process BIM 360
