Coordinate filters similar to AuytoCAD?

New user so likely a case of PEBKAC.

When drawing in AutoCAD I make pretty extensive use of the .x .y .z filters to place objects, text etc in place relative to existing objects.

e.g. an operation like - Pick object, [MOVE], pick mid snap, [.x], pick mid snap of wall line, [@]

to align an item with the midpoint of the wall.

Is there a similar function I'm not seeing in Revit?

You can find some interesting stuff by doing a search for Revit coordinate systems. What you won't find is any filters for them. Revit uses something very similar to AutoCAD's object snap tracking.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.

Yes! You're talking about snap from.  I use that a lot in AutoCAD as well. It's one of the things I miss most when using Revit.  Unfortunately, there is nothing like it in the Revit "toolbox".

Here are all and only options offered in Revit.  Mid-between-two-points is not there unfortunately.  I just created an adaptive family with divided points so that I can snap to a mid, a third, a tenth, anything division between two points.
