Hi all,
Before I embark on many hours of pain. Is the attached roof design possible in REVIT without dynamo?
Thanks in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Yes, as an in place family...I used a sweep for the roof and an extrusion for the standing seam which was them mirrored to other places along the roof.
- Create a mass: draw a curve for for the sweep path and a curve for the roof profile then create form
- Divide the form surface and set UV to match your standing seam spacing
- Create a roof by face by picking the mass form surface
- Place structural framing by picking the divided surface lines for standing seams
Thanks, Toan DN. You're always coming up with the goods! Have a good weekend.
