Ask Solidworks to export your files to a format that is compatible with Revit -
What is it that you are bringing in from Solid Works, if I may ask?
I think export/import of .sat files is the way to go.
Few things to note
-Simplify your model as far as possible, otherwise it will become large and have a negative effect on Revit performance.
-Native Revit files are best for Revit performance, so if possible consider to (re)model in Revit.
-Your imported model will be a static object, no parameters.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.
I'm trying to import custom furniture and lighting from our F&L design experts, in-house. It seems we can "Link CAD" and select .SAT or .STEP files exported from Solidworks. However, they come in as dummy objects and I can not paint materials on the different components, nor explode (or partial explode).
Any suggestions?
Hi @Anonymous
Can you try if you inserting the ACIS file in a family, rather than directly in the model and let us know how the geometry is displayed?

Hi leo. I would suggest you to try BIMDeX SolidWorks to Revit Exporter, where you cannot miss all the hierarchy and properties maintained in SolidWorks. You can export your SolidWorks model to native Revit family/ project file.
