Converting RCP to a DWG - One type of grid is not showing up

When I convert my RCP plan to a DWG and send to the engineer, they are telling me all of a sudden one area of hte grid is not showing up on their CAD. I believe it worked fine for years but now it isn't.  We have tried different cut planes, It was just one type of compound ceiling as I had two different types but today 3 areas had gris 2 of same type and 1 different. the 1 different which is higher didn't show up as well as one of the other grids which is a lower height.  Any thoguths? I have looked at the DWG conversion settings, they have looked at layers....Please help! Thank you!

I've run into this issue a number of times.  It's one of two things:

  • View range extent is coincident with the ceiling level (i.e. view range is set to 10', ceiling height is 10')
  • The ceiling is above the next floor level, or there is a floor in the way

For the first problem, just adjust the view range (not the cut plane) so that you can "see" beyond the height of the highest ceiling (set it to Unlimited to be sure).

For the second problem, go to a section/elevation view and make sure that there isn't a reference level that is hosting a floor located below the ceiling height.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the responce. This is still not working though. I tried all of these solutions.

I'm saving the DWG from teh sheet verses the plan view, do you think that may have something to do with it.

It hasn't done this before and then all of a suddent it started disappearing.

Have you tried using a Plan Region to set the View range independently at areas where the higher ( or lower ) ceiling grids are not showing up?

Also, make sure there are no Phases or Design Options causing this?
