Converting a Plan View to a Drafting View in Revit 2019

I've seen some posts talking about an app for Revit 2017 called "Freeze!" that allows you to convert a 3D plan view (or presumably any 3d view) to a drafting view.  I tried placing the three files in the Add-in folder as described in this thread:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-architecture-forum/revit-2017-extensions-freeze-drawings/td-p/6...

I even revised the dll file as described in that thread but there appears to be a licensing/registration issue.  Anyone know how to resolve this or - more broadly - simply figure out how to convert things as described above?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mike

It just won't work with 2019...and Autodesk has already stated they discontinued Revit Extensions starting with 2019.

So one suggestion as a workaround is to export a DWG then link it into another view.  Or save the model as a stopping point and continue on as a different model and link in by view if you need to reference the previous model in your current model.

It's Drawing Freeze.  It has always been working for me even in 2019.  Evidently that's not the same for everyone.

Regardless, you can do it manually without any app:

- place a 3d view on sheet

- export sheet DWG, make sure Export views on sheets... box is NOT checked

- if you need to check then open the DWG and it is 2D

- link or import DWG back into Revit as a Drafting view

Yes, I'm aware of the export import method.  Thanks for that. I guess I was just hoping to find a way to avoid a few extra clicks and do it natively. Seems like someone (more gifted and dedicated than my lazy self) could do this in Dynamo pretty easily too.  Thanks for the help.

Can I also do this process with a floor plan? I need to bring in a floorplan from one model into another existing model and can't figure out the best way, if any.
