Controlling Visibility/Graphics on Pipes

I'm trying to improve the graphics of my MEP Engineer's linked model within my architectural model. I'd like to see the soil vent pipes above the cut plane, which are transferring in the ceiling void, as wireframe outlines (which I've achieved via filters and by increasing the TOP of the view range), however I need a solid fill shown when the pipe elements pass down through the plan's cut plane, so it is clear where the pipes are landing.
Unfortunately it seems pipe elements cannot have cut linework/fill applied in the VG... Is there an alternative method I can use, preferably without having to create multiple views and overlaying them onto my sheets?
I've attached an example image. I'd like my selection (a vertical pipe in a linked Revit model which passes the cut plane) to appear with a solid fill. Unfortunately there is no reliable way to distinguish between vertical and horizontal elements of the pipes via their identity data.
