Controlling Depth Cueing

I tried to use depth cueing in my elevations. Results looked good on screen but the plots showed near elements faded out and the far elements were barely visible.  No matter what near and far settings I used and no matter what the far darkness setting, the plots were unsatisfactory. I ended up just using halftone overrides by element on the far away elements.

Has anyone found any solutions to keep near elements from fading?

Too bad the near and far ranges can't be specified in plan.

"Plots" as in Wide-Format Printer output or PDF output?

Increase PDF resolution so your raster in print out better.  And if you wonder why it prints out raster, it is because you enable Depth Cueing.
