Hi, I am creating my first rendered images using 2 cameras pointing in roughly opposite directions. There were no options for setting the sun position before rendering that I could see. In fact I didn't change any of the render settings so that no credits were used.
Site Plan (shadows on):
render 1:
render 2:
You can see that the shadows have changed position. The first render has put the sun in a roughly south position, and the second has put the sun in an east position. How do I position the sun in preparation for rendering?
Also, I was pleased to see a pleasant sky had been added automatically on render 2. Where is this set and can I change the sky image? Also I'm using LT so might not have full functionality
Thanks
PS the trees look good in elev but no so good at a steep 3d angle - any ideas welcome.

Follow the same rendering workflow for setting up a cloud render as you would for a local render. Here is the workflow from the Revit online help:
https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2021/ENU/?guid=GUID-69A3785E-5C96-4222-A09D-305243B46B9B
The lighting and background controls are accessed in step 5 of the above workflow and are saved individually for each 3d view (orthographic and perspective). The background in image 1 is procedurally generated by default but you can also upload a sky image file.
Good luck.

Have a look at this tutorial for customizing the 3D appearance of tree families from the "Balkan Architect" youtube channel: https://youtu.be/BBM7vFg937k
The default trees are simplified 2d planes with an image file mapped to them. They automatically "turn" toward the camera when rendering. These are supplied OOTB with Revit from Archvision: https://archvision.com/revit-rpc-tree-guide-from-a-revit-user/
