Could you advise on the possibility of creating a continuous numbering system for all steps across the staircases? For example, the ground floor would have steps numbered from 1 to 16, the first floor from 17 to 32, the second floor from 33 onward, and so on. Could you suggest an approach to implement this?

Automatically no, you can set starting number for each level.
