Confused About Discipline

Is there any way to change the discipline of a plan after it has been created? I see I must have mistakenly created a plan in the wrong discipline initially and now it will create a substantial amount of work to redraw it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are talking about two different things: view discipline and view family.  You can change a view Discipline under its properties but you cannot change a view family from a Structural Plan to a Floor Plan to a Ceiling Plan.
