Conflicted Shared Parameters in Lighting Fixtures

shared param.PNG

This message keeps showing as I try to upload a lighting family file on my project. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks!

Looks like you have two conflicting parameters. Revit will only allow 1 parameter.

Open the Family.

Under Family Types, look under Dimensions and see if you can delete the Nominal Height parameter.

Save and Load into Project, overwrite parameters.

Does it load successfully now?

I've not run into that warning before, but the info makes sense. It sounds like you have a Shared Parameter called "Nominal Height" that is defined within the Project (or within another family in the project?) that is using "Number" as its type of parameter, while the family uses (the more logical Length unit). My guess is that you should try to delete the Shared Parameter called Nominal Height within your project and re-create it with its type set to Length. Conversely you could edit the family and do the same thing but use Number (not recommended).

See the screenshot below for clarification

Hope that helps,
