Conditional statement formulas in schedules

I'm looking to create complex conditional calculated formulas based on families for a door schedule. For example if the family name contains the world "double" in it, I want the width/2, but for the cell to read as (2) width/2 (like if it's a 6'0 width double door, the cell in the schedule should read as '(2) 3'-0" '). But superseding that statement, if the phase created is Existing, the cell in the schedule should read as 'EX'

I can almost visualize how this formula should be written out, but the main issue I'm running into is being able to select the Family or Phase Created as fields to add to the formula. Is there any way to do this or is this beyond revit capabilities?

Thank you!

I incorporated all of this into our firms doors about a year ago, but I included it all in the door families themselves, rather than in the schedule. It'd be a lot more time intensive, but I'd highly suggest it if you can swing the time. Our entire door library is standardized and consistent now.

You cannot use text to drive formulas.  Use another parameter type to indicate those conditions.

Good to know, I'll look into doing it more that way. Thank you!
