Concrete volume

Hi,

is there a way to obtain entire concrete building volume (material takeoff)!?

Do I have to summon foundations, floors, columns etc. or is there a workaround?

Regards!

Use a multi-category material take-off schedule.

Hi,

...tried to make a multi category takeoff schedule but something's wrong.

I should have around 550 m3 of concrete but Revit calculates "Grand total" 229m3.

What am I missing?

Thanks for your time!!!

Do you have multiple phases? What are the elements with the concrete material?

Hi,

all materials are "cast in place concrete C25", and the elements are beams, columns, slabs and foundation slabs, stairs.

There are no phases.

Regards!

If you add the Category column to the schedule, do you see any categories are missing?  How did you come up with the 533 m3 figure?

Hi,

I found where Revit doesn't properly summon volumes:

1. Floors (Grand total is 5m3)???

Capture.PNG

2. Structural Foundations

Grand total is 4m3???

So, after summoning I have around 550m3 as it should be.

Why is this happening? Is this a bug?

Regards!

4 and 5 are Count Totals, not Volume Totals.  You need to go to Format tab and set the Volume filed to Calculate Totals.
