Hey guys, My co-worker has a strange error. Conceptual massing that we use to calculate the volume of the building is going crazy. In one case it simply doesn't update the volume no matter how he edits it. It contains several dozens of cuboids (balconies), and gives an error, that the geometry is too complex. I told him to copy and paste to a separate massing one floor of the balconies and see if the volume is correct.
And it would be fair if the "too complex geometry" always alerted if there is a problem. He has another similar mass with dozens of cuboids, and it doesn't show the warning, but when he deleted a couple of the cuboids... The volume doubled...
Another volume in the project, that contains maybe 5 shapes, all extruded from orthogonal floor plans shows a correct volume. The are not joined, but have face touching each other.
Where is the bottom line at which I can trust Revit's conceptual massing volume calculations? I really wan't to avoid exporting stuff to Sketchup or other programs to check this.
Hi @LOESCH_PK
We are sorry for the delay in replying.
If you are still facing issues with the conceptual massing, we would like to take a look at your Revit model and test it further.
Would it be possible to share a file with us, I can send you a private upload folder.
Looking forward to your reply update.

If I find it I can share it. Not sure if someone in the office didn't find some kind of workaround. The problem was in the project which file I sent you a while ago though, but I don't know If it was also in that copy.
