Hi everyone,
Recently I have posted this issue but I guess it was in the wrong forum. I have an issue with my file. The supervisor sent me a Revit model file through a google drive and when I opened it, it requested many add ins. I installed all the required add-ins but in the end, the model was missing some components e.g. stairs and maybe some walls. does anyone know what seems to be the problem? i have also attached the model to this post. Your help and time will be highly appreciated.
got to ask...are you sure stairs are missing? Sure they were included? Also, have you inspected a 3D view with all categories and elements turned on and visible in the view?
These are the drawings generated by my supervisor from the same model when he sent me this model file. See the attachment, please.
EDIT: Yes I have checked the visibility and all other possible options just needed for an expert to check maybe I am missing something really stupid.
Yes, I posted that question in MEP forum then thought maybe I should have posted in Forum section only. Your answer to my question was to contact my manager. That is not possible for me due to some reasons. I am not a Revit expert. I need this file for further analysis in Model checking software which requires all the components for escape route analysis etc. I appreciate your time and your help.
Yeah, I kind of figured that was the location. There and maybe in the shaft at the center of the building. But no stairs. I don't think they were included in the transmittal. Can't you ask about them?
...btw: I don't think it has anything to do with Softstik. If it is, I'd sure like to hear about it.
I did but I was asked to make changes on my own. I am not a Revit expert. My task is basically to run the model in Solibri model checker. but in that, it requires stairs for analysis. and I am not professional in Revit, just a beginner.
You can't analyse the condition of something you don't have. If they don't want to provide the stairs, then run the analysis without the stairs.
...btw, this has nothing to do with your level of experience, but the lack of information you've been provided.
They sent you a bare-bone structural model. There must be an architectural model with stairs, walls, doors, and everything else that they didn't send you. What did they ask you to analyse? Maybe structural are the only things you need to analyse. Communicate with them rather than guessing.
