Something new and noteworthy (at least to me):
I can affect where a Legend component is cut in its Plan View representation, by changing the component’s default height (or offset) TYPE parameter value. And, I can do this on-the-fly; directly through the Project Browser by right-clicking on the family instance and opening its “Type Parameters”.
Maybe this is working by design, but I can find no documentation on this – nor a half dozen other nonsensical workarounds I need to go through to get a Legend Component to display correctly.
Hi Barth,
For recommendations and suggestions for Revit product enhancements, please consider posting a new Revit Idea or voting up an existing idea there.
Also, when posting it can be very helpful to include an image or two in the post. And if you’re covering a particular workflow with steps, including a link to a Screencast video you’ve made is also awesome. Screencast videos can include your Audio description as well.
... So was there something on this topic you were wanting assistance or input on? Or was this informational only?
If my reply was helpful, please give a "Kudo" or click the "Accept as Solution" button below (or both).

Understood Michael.
In answer to your questions: It is both. Sometimes these revelations will elicit the methodology behind the madness, if you know what I mean. Like I said, there are several nonsensical workarounds I use to get a Legend Component to display properly.
Whatever. Thanks for your input.
