I'm trying to model something shaped like the attached picture. The form is something of an ellipsoid, but where all the sections (plan and both elevations) are ellipses as well.
This far I was able to model a regular ellipsoid, rotating an ellipse around an edge, but this results in one of the sections being a circle. But after that, I'm not able to edit the profiles or edges to modify it and obtain the shape I'm looking for. Any ideas?

Hi Constantin, yeah, the shape is something similar to that. How did you make it?
After I posted originally, someone pointed out that I could achieve a similar shape lofting horizontal sections, but that solution leaves a flat surface on the top that I'd rather not have.
Yeah, basically this is the idea... I don't think you have to be afraid of this flat surface as long as the upper elliptical profile can have the big diameter till 1.6 mm and the small one even less then this value. Have a look at my screencast.

The flat spots can be tiny they are basically just dots.
Cool Architecture. What is this building, @manuelmunoz87 ? Looks like an observatory.
