Hi,

My command tab for Revit 2018 is gone.

I have done the following :

  • deleted the unistat,dat,
  • tried to restore unistate.dat
  • uninstalled revit and reinstalled a new version

Still opening without any ribbon commands.

Any suggestions?

@mwolfson

Can you check if you have the latest updates installed for your Revit version?

To install updates, open the Autodesk desktop app and click My Updates. To install a new version of your Autodesk software, open the Autodesk desktop app, sign in, and click My Products. To use a web browser to install updates or a new version, sign in to Autodesk Account. (Your access to new versions or updates depends on your Autodesk software entitlements.)

Regards,

Hi,

Thanks for helping, but maybe I am not explaining myself or calling it the right name.

The commands I cannot access are the tabs that say:

File / Architecture / Structure / Insert / Annotate / site / View / Manage / Modify and the arrow toggle

If I click on the space nothing happens, if I right click it allows me to put it on the bottom.

I have now:

  1. uninstalled Revit LT 2018.
  2. run Revo Uninstaller doing a deep scan, clearing all traces
  3. reinstalled a Revit LT 2018 64 bit with all the security updates
  4. Problem persists

I hope it is something stupid i am doing. If there was a keyboard shortcut to get to File/options/userinterface that would be great

Thanks

Hello, I'm not sure what is going on in your Revit program? Try to uncheck use hardware acceleration and install the latest updates of your graphics card driver and reboot your machine and see if helps. Thanks

It's called the ribbon.

I don't know if this will help but try right clicking on the quick access tool bar and change the setting "Dock Above/Below Ribbon".

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
