I added columns to my project, but the I-beam is not joining with the wall. Although the I-beam is visible in the model, it does not join with the wall, and as a result, I cannot see my columns in the section view. I watched several videos for this issue, and in the videos, the column automatically joined with the wall upon being added. Unfortunately, it did not work for me, and I couldn’t figure out the problem. I would really appreciate it if you could help me resolve this.
Steel members usually have a symbolic representation when the detail level is set to coarse (like the view which you uploaded) and the stick symbols do not work with cut geometry because then they would be meaningless. For that reason they nest or create detail components with masking/filled region which shows in medium and fine detail level.

I understand, thank you, but I cannot see the columns in the section. I need to show the structure for my project and it should be visible in the section. What should I do for this? The column is not visible because it is inside the wall. You also told me that I should not add details in the family section. How do I do that? Sorry to bother you, I am still trying to solve Revit.
