I've done a model that will not have a structure above them ( view looking down into the space).  The clients want the top of the walls black.  I'm using Lumion 11 for rendering.

Thanks!

Add a really thin sweep at the top of the wall, same thickness as the wall and set it to a black material

If you don't need an actual component such as a parapet cap then paint the top of the wall with a material.

Interesting challenge. Sounds like you might be rendering a section boxed view; one that cuts your walls.  If so, you don't have a top surface to paint.  So, getting the walls to show solid black is going to require some gymnastics.  Maybe it would be faster and easier to tap down your client's expectations.  😉

If the view is in fact a 3D view looking down then just go into visibility/graphics and override walls cut pattern to solid black. This works in shaded, consistent colour and realistic graphic display options.
