Is it possible to snap the color scheme legend to any element in plan or is copy/paste aligned to selected views the only way to do this?
To be honest I would really like if we could add the legend to the sheet instead of to the view but if that's not possible my second best option was to find a way to make sure that it aligns to the same place in the view.

If this is about aligning the Color Scheme to the Sheet, then what about a Legend View containing just a Color Scheme with Values Displayed set to All? You could put this View anywhere you like on the Sheet (maybe in the Titleblock). Of course, you'd have to Duplicate (with Detailing) the View to place on Multiple Sheets.
Thank you, that works. I'll probably create a scopebox so I can show the space types in each floor.

Are you sure? You still need to duplicate the view and place each one of them on each sheet. And align them. Plus, the color legend will show all colors, not just the ones in the view, but perhaps you don't care.
What came to my mind is I wouldn't create a view with all space types but create a plan for each level with a scopebox so that the legend placement is independent to the actual floorplan but I still have a reference to place it on the sheet.
Then I would copy/paste aligned to the selected views. The color scheme would be set to show by view. So this was the plan but it doesn't work as when I crop the view and the spaces aren't in view region they also get removed from the legend.
Shame... I'll probably stick to paste aligned to view and that's it.
