Yes I do this but only the crosshatch pattern seems to work, if I select another fill pattern the room appears white with no fill pattern.

Does Solid work?

Yes solid does work but I am doing loading plans and we need a variety of hatching types to make the plan more readable.

OP said only cross hatch and solid patterns work.

-Have you tried adjusting Foreground/ Background of the Color Scheme in the View?

-Does the Color Scheme work properly in the Linked Model?

-Any View Templates applied to the View in the Host model?

back now...

If so, turn off Floors and see what happens. Not kidding.

-Tried foreground and background

-Switched off floor surface pattern

-There is a view template where the color scheme is switched on.

-Hiding the floor doesnt help

-What strikes me is that the colour scheme in the actual model that is linked doesnt actually work accurately so maybe this is why it isnt showing properly when it is linked into another model. Perhaps a glitch. I made a new colour scheme in my model with no change.

I need to finish the plans but further suggestions are welcomed.

*The colour scheme also appears very light as if half toned but it is not on half tone and switching from background to foreground does not help. I also tried the "Additional settings" Under "Underlay" settings and tried to edit those settings but that does  not help either.

Phasing? Filters?

If crosshatch and solid fill patterns work the rest are supposed to work if none worked then it may be a filter but there are no filters or phasing restricting fill patterns

Hi,

Had to do a test, same results as OP,  some patterns (random) don't update (immediately), maybe a graphics issue.

After I placed a Color Fill legends they update, also if the roomshape or origin is changed, maybe this will solve it for now. (keep Color Fill on view so revit has to calculate...)

Could it be a Bug?

the color scheme works perfectly at the MD3 model. but at MD2 model I cannot see the hatches other then the solid. I created a view with a proper color scheme at the MD3 model and, set view template to show plan view as at the Linked model, then I can see the hatches properly. But I have different model for each floor and I need to set the same scheme for each model. It will take time but for now solves my problem.

If anyone has a solution, I would be happy to hear.

Hi,

To save you some time, I notice the background worker isn't always triggering when the pattern is changed.

So maybe set the patterns of the color scheme, and reopen the project for now?

ps. I also have tried it with a link, that one updates when the cursor hovers over the link.

(turning off hardware acc. doesn't help)
