Hello All,
I am a relatively new Revit user and I am nearly done creating a construction document set. On a few of my sheets in my CD set I would like to use an annotation to highlight in a color (or pattern) specific model elements in a 3D view to help the reader better understand my 3D drawings (see attached image). I will then add notes to explain the color/pattern highlight area. I want to be able to do this quickly as an annotation rather than needing to edit families/types/etc.
Can anyone tell me how to add a color/pattern overlay in a Revit sheet view? This would be great for quick diagramming in a CD set with 3D views. (Note: the image I have attached was done in Photoshop).
Thank you!
Edward

You could use Activate the View on the Sheet and apply Graphic Overrides by Element.
Right-Click on element in View, select "Override Graphic in View"=>"By Element".
