Color and appearance of the whole project changed by itself

After I added some tree families to the project for landscaping , I entered the 3d mode to gets better view for my work. As I opened the 3d option I saw that all my buildings which previously were red and ocre are now shades of blue...the material is shown the same with the same appearance.. What's wrong and what can I do to make it right?

I don't completely understand your description.

  • Did you try to restart Revit? Reboot?
  • If you delete the 3D view and make a new one, what do you see?
  • Can you post a screenshot?

renderings seem to show the original colors. ill attach a screen shot from
my rendered view and my revit

Hello,

Could it be possible that you changed your display settings?

Depending on your display settings, the colours that you are seeing on your screen could be using the colour scheme under the "Graphics" tab in the materials, or the "Appearance" tab under the materials.

For example, if your display settings uses "Consistent Colours" your materials would typically show the colour of the material under the "Graphics" tab.  If you were in "Realistic" view, you would see the colour of the material under the "Appearance" tab.

This could be a Phasing issue.

Check here:

Manage Tab>Phases>Graphic Overrides>Phase Status>Temporary>Material--this is set to Blue by default.

Also check the Phase Filter in your 3D View. Try changing it from Show Previous & New, to Show Complete, or Show All.

Note what colors change.

Check the Phase Created of your building walls, roofs, etc.

Hmm......... things do not "solve themselves". Something was wrong, and then something changed and fixed it.

Was it a Phasing / Material problem? Did that solve it?

Before checking the material and phasing solution mentioned in the previous
reply I thought of checking my project out before hand and that's when I
saw everything was normal again
