Collaboration and Workset Issue

Hello,

Im working on a revit model and im want to include someone to my model from office so here are the steps about what we did and what we couldnt. Please see below.

1- First of all, i created new workset and set it editable.

2- Then i saved the model as central model from "save as" to our server.

3- I closed everything then i continued like Revit / Open / Create New Local. Im working with my new workset and its editable. Everything is fine until here.

When we tried same steps from my teammate's pc (Revit / Open / Create New Local) the project opening with my new workset but its non-editable. We almost spend a day to convert it to editable but we couldnt. We would be really grateful if someone helps. Thanks.

Is is confusing but making worksets editable is in most cases only necessary to edit the name.

My recommended workflow is to have the worksets uneditable.

Then users can borrow elements from worksets, and Revit gives only a warning when you are working on the same element.

Conclusion: Borrow elements, not worksets.

when Editable -means that your are the owner and no one can make changes without your approval -it can not be made editable by other user...if you want that everyone can have free access to worksets then set them to Not Editable.
